Emma Lou Strain, of Red Oak, went to
be with her heavenly father Monday
Oct. 7, 2013 after a short illness in
Dallas at the age of 79.
Emma was born November 4, 1933 in
Del Rio, Texas to Lyn Cleveland and
Iva Wood Cleveland, who have
preceded her in death.
She married Richard J. Strain Sr. on Aug 4, 1951 in Yuma, Arizona.
They were married 41 years until his passing in 1992. They have four
children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen and John
Blanchett Sr. of Cedar Park, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Richard
Jr. and Reeda Strain of Garrett; daughter and son-in-law Tammie and
Calvin Rich of Red Oak; daughter and son-in-law Donna and Rick
Gammon of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren Mistie, Richard III,
Samantha, Gary and wife Krystea, Bobbie Jo and husband Kevin,
John Jr. and wife Marlene, Joy and husband Matt, Justin, Sara, Brandi
and husband Chris and Michael; great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Natalie,
Shelby, Dominic, Juliette, Kody, Kyle, Kory, Michael, Richard,
Jazmine, Heaven, Jozie, Nevaeh, Danielle, Arika and Karrah; sister
Mary Depuy of Klamath Falls, Oregon and many other family
members.
Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 27, 2014 at
Green Funeral Home 207 S. Wood St in Ferris, Texas, with Pastor
Michael Barton officiating.
Family requests any donations be made to the Salvation Army or the
Hospice Unit at Baylor in Dallas in her name.
Jozie and Jazmine are surnamed Gammon per fb page of Mistie Lynn Farmer (niece of 
Tammie Lou Strain Rich, but also describes Jozie and Jazmine as her niece rather 
than cousin)
On ecsd-fl.schoolloop.com/som/sept Jozie is listed as student of month, 6th grade (so 
age 12/13, b 2002, so is she daughter of Samantha or Sara?)
obit of Emma Lou Strain lists her as great granddaughter, so not daughter of Donna
