Jack Seth Kirkwood Died suddenly in Novato on Monday, July 7th, 2008, at the age of 
79. He was born and raised in San Francisco and graduated from Washington High. A 
lifelong member of the Stationary Engineers Local 39, he worked at Foremost-
McKesson and the Transamerica Pyramid, retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife 
of 57 years, Carmel, and children: Doris Widger (Dan), Mary Kirkwood, John Kirkwood 
(Thelma), and Susan Kirkbride (Mark); and grandchildren: Nathan (Emily), Chris, Justin 
(Amy), Lindsey and Spencer. He is also survived by his sister, Wallacesa Lois, and 
many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to an open house 
celebration of Jack's life on Sunday, July 13th between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. at the 
family home in Novato. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to California State
