Betty Maule

PICKSTOWN - Betty Maule, 69, of Pickstown, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Sacred 
Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Betty Kulhavy was born Sept. 17, 1931, in rural Wagner. She received her education 
at Wagner area schools. She married Jerry Kalkus on Jan. 18, 1951. Her husband died 
Dec. 19, 1982.

She married William Maule on Dec. 1, 1987, in Wagner. She worked at the Konfrst 
Grocery Store in Dante, the Superette Grocery Store and Hinkhouse Cafe in Wagner, 
and as an optometrist assistant at Dr. Schuurman's Eye Clinic for 35 years.

She was a member of United Methodist Church, Ruth Circle and Veterans of Foreign 
Wars Auxiliary.

Her survivors include her husband, Bill; her stepchildren: Susan Krcil of Billings, 
Mont., Deborah Warejcka of Gillette, Wyo, and Bill Maule Jr., of Rapid City; four 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial 
will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery at rural Wagner.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner.
