15 Apr 1915 Salt Lake Telegram has his obit. Services at home of his daughter, Mrs. 
Alvin E. Smith. He was a merchandiser, later associated with his father, John H. 
Rumel, as general contractors and importers of English portland and other domestic 
cement. They were the first to demonstrate the feasibility of manufacturing artificial 
stone and cement pipe in Salt Lake. Had many patents for farm machinery and pipe 
coverings for Rumel Patents Corp. Survived by Mrs. Alvin E. Smith, Stephen and 
Frank Rumel, also Orson P., Frank, Alice Rumel Margetts, Annie Rumel Brooks, and 
Mr.s Abba Holman of Boston, brothers and sisters.
