Robert Cloward 

Spokane

Funeral for Robert Lamar Cloward, 75, will be today at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter-day Saints, Moran Prairie Ward, 4444 W. 43rd Ave. Heritage Funeral 
Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cloward, who died Monday, was born in Payson, Utah.

He served for five years in the Army 29th Corps of Engineers, where he was engaged 
in jungle "op-up" operations in the Philippines, in addition to establishing radio 
stations in the Philippines, Pacific islands and Japan.

Mr. Cloward attended the University of Southern California School of Marketing, 
sponsored by the H.J. Heinz Co.

In 1960 he was transferred by the Heinz Co. to Spokane as supervisor of the 
company's Washington, Idaho and Montana sales areas.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as an Elders 
Quorum president and as a high-priest group leader.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Joyce; three children, Randall Cloward of Spokane, 
Bobbette Laurent of Poulsbo, Wash., and Pamela Cloward Markle of Richland; four 
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
