June 7, 1908 - Sept. 8, 2004Howard M. Burt of Prineville died Wednesday of natural 
causes. He was 96.A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, at 
Deschutes Memorial Mausoleum Chapel.Mr. Burt was born on June 7, 1908, in Azuza, 
Calif. to Ralph and Mary (Pettyjohn) Burt. He married Donna Morgan Feb. 1, 1985, in 
Reno.He served in the Army during World War II. He worked as a farmer. Mr. Burt was 
a member of the Eagles, Elks and Masonic Lodge and the V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, 
landscaping, gardening and his dogs.Survivors include his wife of Prineville; a son, 
William Gary of Klamath Falls; two daughters, Wendy Finley of Redmond and Tanya 
Shepherd of Bend; and seven grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a 
brother.Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Memorial Hospital, 1201 NE 
Elm, Prineville, OR 97754.Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
