M. Joan Dow, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on 
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 2:00PM. She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on 
May 7, 1927 to the late Ora T. and Katherine Clark. She was a founding member of 
the Fellowship Baptist Church in Dublin. Joan was an animal lover and a member of 
the ASPCA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, George 
A. Fergison, Jr.; and sister, Isora Andrews. She is survived by her loving husband of 
36 years, Larry Dow; daughter, Nancy (Richard) Salyer; granddaughter, Kayla Salyer; 
brothers, Ora T. Clark, Jr. and Paul Clark; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may 
call on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER 
HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service 
will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 10:00AM. Pastor Jim Stevanus 
officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers 
contributions in Joan's memory may be made to the ASPCA.
