Keen tree on ancestry (has him as "George Albert Brown")
According to passport applications of Alice Scudder Price Brown, she was married to 
George up to his death in 1919. So how are Helen and Edith half-siblings of Cyril (per 
his obit)? Alice is mother of Cyril b 1887, so she md George c 1886. So how is George 
the father of Helen and Ethel b in the early 1900s? Alice had children with Rufus 
Gilbert but they would have been born before he died in 1885. Yet Helen has Alvord 
as part of her name and both have the surname Brown.
My guess, based on the following, is that he and Alice divorced but she continued to 
refer to him as husband on passport apps.
She says he died in 1919 but he's on the 1920 census.
