Phyllis Lucille Chapman Pierce, age 75, died Monday, May 6, 1991 at the Utah Valley 
Regional Medical Center in Provo of complications following surgery. 

 Born February 12, 1916 in Preston, Idaho to William and Verena Wright Chapman. 
Married Jack Pierce November 2, 1933 in Provo. She was a loving and caring person 
to all. She loved the outdoors, traveling, fishing and gardening. She has spent her last 
winters in Mesa, Arizona. She was a member of the LDS Church. She had worked at 
Jolene's and Mini World for many years. 

 Survivors, husband, Provo; children, Joan Phillips, Mesa, Arizona; Jack Dale Pierce, 
Orem; Sharon Pierce Davis, Sandy; Marian Foltz, Denver, Colorado; Clair Jay Pierce, 
Lindon; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, 
Richard Lynn Pierce. 

 Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East 
Center Street, where friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., or Thursday, one hour 
prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
