CLENDENON, GEORGE George Clendenon of El Cajon fought a good fight and on 
November 6, 2006, at the age of 84, his long battle with Alzheimer's came to an end. 
He is survived by his devoted partner of 21 years, Dee Armstrong; his sister, Billie 
Siedler; his children, Travis Clendenon (Dori), Diana Heckman (Brian), David 
Clendenon (Juliet) and Christine Herrera, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren 
and many loving nieces and nephews. George served four years in the Navy during 
WWII and dedicated many years to coaching Little League baseball and was an 
inspiration to all who knew him. George was a member of the First Baptist Church of 
Bostonia. We will all miss George's smile, sense of humor and good nature. Graveside 
service will be held at El Cajon Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. on November 8, 2006. The 
family request to please donate money to an Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
