Notes for Luther Clifford Kenworthy:
General Notes: L. Clifford Kenworthy was born in Whittier, California, attending High 
School in
Glendale, then went ot Oregon State and Occidental College. He started in the Dairy 
business in
1925 with Crescent Creamery Company, now known as Arden-Mayfair, and later 
founded the
Supreme Dairy in September 1929.
In 1933, Cliff started serving as a member of the Pasadena YMCA Board of Directors,
and has been a member of the Board and Advisory Board for 40 years. He served as 
Chairman
on the Executive Steering Committee...
From 1946 to 1956 he served as a member of the National Council of YMCA’s. He
became Manager of Creameries of America in 1950, remaining in this position for ten 
years after
the acquisition by Beatrice Foods.
The year 1959 was spent on a trip around the world for the United States Departments 
of
Commerce and Agriculture with four months in India, as Manager of the U.S. World 
Fair. He
served as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Dairy Institute of California.
Being a dedicated leader of our community, he has served as President of the 
following
groups and associations:

Cal State Junior Chamber of Commerce

Mr. Kenworthy is a member of the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, the Carmelita 
Lodge,
Masonic Order and the University Club of Pasadena. He was the recipient of the 
United States
Junior Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award in 1938.
He and his wife Evangeline have two sons and one daughter. The eldest son, Dudley, 
is
Financial Development Secretary at Stanford and was recently elected Vice President 
of the Palo
Alto YMCA. eldon teaches at Cornell. Janet is married to Francis H. Walls, an Air 
Force Major,
retired, living in Apple Valley, California. They are also the proud grandparents of 
seven
grandchildren.
