Services for Christina Buxton, 90, of Nashville who di ed Thursday, Jan. 15 at the 
Barry County Medical Facility , were held 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Vogt Funeral Home. 
Rev . Richard Wadsworth officiated with burial in the Barryvill e Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 10, 1890 in Barryville, the daughte r of Willard and Mary (Smith) 
Buxton.
She had no immediate survivors.

NASHVILLE - Christina Buxton, 90, a descendant of a Ca stleton Township pioneer, 
died Thursday in the Barry Count y Medical Care Facility.
She was born near the community of Barryville and resi ded in Barry County throughout 
her life.
Her grandfather, Cyrus Buxton, settled in Castleton To wnship from Vermont in 1840, 
and later became a prosperou s farmer. When the township was organized in 1842, he 
becam e the first township treasurer, and he also served as the t ownship's school 
inspector.
Miss Buxton has no immediate survivors.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vogt Funer al Home.
