Arizona, dtr, 12, b Tex, Anna E. 9 b Mexico, and Thomas C. 7 b Tex. So Garry Ann 
must be his second wife and NOT the mother of the children (incl the younger 2 who 
are with them in the 1880 census)

per archived rootsweb inquiry, he married Carolyn Ruth English and had Amanda 
Arizona Tucker, James Tucker, and Campbell E. Tucker. Also was a surgeon under 
Rip Ford's command of the 15th Texas Calvary in the civil war. Born 1823 Ala, died 9 
Sep 1896 in Laredo. Per family search, b 3 Jul 1823. Per several sites, son of 
Jeremiah Tucker and Sitnah Clifton. born Limestone Co., Ala.
Another posting says Campbell's middle name is English, which would support the idea 
that Caroline English, daughter of Campbell English, is the mother of Campell English 
Tucker and the other two. It also says that the will of Campbell English set off shares 
for Caroline Ruth's children Campbell English Tucker, James Harvey Tucker, and 
Amanda Arizona Tucker. Caroline English died in 1859, so Anna, Thomas Clinton, and 
William Henry would be Garry Ann's children
From info in death record of William Henry Tucker, i think he was married to the 
younger Gary Ann ... as William Henry was born in 1877 BUT ... that Garry Ann was 
married and pregnant then with her Oberchain children. Might this Garry Ann be born 
later than 1820, say 1830? No, because she married Wilson W Bruce in 1841

preacher, died in 1896
also explains: native of Mississippi, born in 1822. Cam to Texas as a young man, 
during the 1850s ran the stage line between San Antonio and El Paso. Became a 
physician, practiced in San Antonio, Uvalde, and other places. Brought under 
conviction in 1859 after hering a sermon preached by Bishop Pierce in the old 
courthouse in Uvlade. Converted, licensed to preach, and for several years was a 
preacher "among the roughest element of the Southwest." In 1869 admitted to the 
West Texas Conference. He was the first missionary sent to Laredo in 1872, spent 
most of his ministry on the frontier and on hard circuits, though he spent a term on the 
Victoria district. Died at Laredo, Sept 1896. Same book reports C. E. Maule was a 
delegate to the 1890 General Confernce of the Methodist Episcopal Church in St. 
Louis
