Co., then in 1835 to Swanton Twp., Lucas Co. In 1845 elected superintendent of 
Lucas Co Infirmary, first a Whig, then a Republican, attending the 1854 convention. 
Served as justice of the peace, and twp offices, helped lay out the first road west of 
the Maumee (Old State Rd). In religion, follower of John Wesley.
