From 30 Oct 1909 Denver Rocky Mountain News "Trinidad, Colo. Oct 29 -- While the 
members of the family were attending a wedding, burglars last night entered the home 
of J. W. Clendenon and secured $2 in cash and a railroad ticket to Colorado Springs. 
The money and ticket were not missed until this morning, when Mrs. A. J. Manuel, a 
guest, went to look for her ticket to go home."
