David Comfort's cousin, Sarah Comfort, married Joseph Maule (1E542). Maurice was 
educated in Moorestown schools and at Westtown Friends School, Westtown, Pa. He 
was a member of the Religious Society of Friends. Maurice was a farmer and a horse 
breeder. He was a member of the Burlington Co., N.J., Committee and the Chester 
Twp., Burlington Co., N.J., Committee. In 1898, Maurice was postmaster of 
Moorestown, N.J.
	After Caroline died, Maurice married Katherine Shotwell.
