 Rites Tuesday, 2 P.M. For Mrs. Jordan;
 Husband, Daughter Survive

          Funeral serivces for Mrs. Effie K. Jordan, 71, wife of Avery Jordan, who died 
Sunday night at 11:00 o'clock, at her home 611 Kyle street, in Edinburg, will be held 
at the Edinburg M. E. church of which she was a member.  Burial will be in the Rest 
Haven cemetery.
           Mrs. Jordan, who had been ill only a short time, was born in Indiana, on March 
29, 1863, the daughter of  Milten and Malinda Tapscot Phelps.  She was married to 
Mr. Jordan August 18, 1878.  She was a member of the Gleaners Society. 
           Survivors besides the husband are one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Schnarr, of Flat 
Rock, and one brother, James Phelps of Indianapolis.
