Richard as born in Grant County to the late Dalton and Dollie (Hiatt) Sheron. He 
married Esther Howell on June 10, 1956.

Richard was a Foster Parent for 34 years. For the last 15 years he worked at Red 
Gold. Previously he was employed with the Villages Group Home of Indianapolis, TW 
Transport, Toler Cartage, United Trucking and Crofton. He had also taught Social 
Studies at Jones Junior High School and worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. 

Richard was a member of the First Friends Church and had been a Gideon. He was a 
good dad and enjoyed working in his yard and garden. He liked watching westerns 
and listening to country music.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Sheron, Marion; children, Mary Jo (Frank) Rouse, 
Indianapolis, Deborah (David) Entwistle, Canton, Ohio, David Thompson, James 
(Diane) Sheron and Joey Hahn, all of Marion and Andy (Sabrina) Sheron, Anderson; 
sisters, Rebecca Sickman, Fairmount, Ruby Ritter, Atlanta, Ga. and Coleen (Jack) 
Stroup, Palm Desert, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several 
foster children.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Lee, Charles, Roseanna and Joan.
