Betty Lou Laub Doss, 83, of St. George, Utah, passed away Dec. 20, 2011. She was 
born of strong Swiss heritage, July 11, 1928, in Santa Clara, Utah, in the family's 
adobe pioneer home, to Andrew and Gladys Gray Laub, and was a 45-year resident of 
Nevada. She worked for many years at Dick's Cafe, then at the Clark County School 
District cafeterias. Betty learned the art of sewing, quilting, cooking and tatting from 
her mother. Betty found great happiness in crafting alter cloths for the St. George 
Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Carl Doss of White, S.D. 
Their romance began at annual "Dixie Round Up." They were married in Las Vegas in 
1961. Later, their marriage was sealed for all time and eternity in the St. George LDS 
Temple. She is survived by daughter, Shelly Lou Doss Donahue (Steve Donahue); and 
son, Chris Alden Doss. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22. Funeral services 
will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, both at the LDS Chapel, 400 East and 100 
South. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to
