William Maurice Gray
Milford, Utah

William Maurice Gray was born on September 4, 1927 in Minersville, Utah. He 
graduated from Milford High School in Milford, Utah. He served in the Merchant 
Marines. He married Orlynn Stott Gray on September 15, 1952 in Ely, Nevada. He was 
a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Maurice worked in the mining industry. He worked his farm and later in life, he enjoyed 
working at the Beaver County Landfill. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tending his 
vegetable garden and raising all kinds of birds - doves, pigeons, pheasants, 
peacocks, and geese. He loved his farm animals and his dogs. 

Maurice loved spending time with his three sons and thoroughly enjoyed his 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maurice was a friend to all. He was a kind-
hearted, generous and loving man who will be greatly missed-never forgotten. 

Maurice is survived by his wife, Orlynn Stott Gray, his children Maurice (Moe) Layne 
Gray, Milford, UT; William Kyle Gray (Kimberly), Mountain View, WY; and Nelson 
Stewart Gray (Carol), Milford, UT; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many 
nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents , Thomas 
Marvin and Mary Jane (Talbot) Gray, grandson Hunter Tyce Wilson, sister Velma 
(Gray) Thomas and brothers Warren Gray and Don Gray.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Milford 
LDS Ward Chapel. A viewing will bed held prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 
10:30 am at the church. Interment will be in the Milford cemetery all under the 
direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to
