Roger M. Howard, 86, Liberty, MO, passed away July 26, 2000, at Liberty Hospital. 
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, at the First Presbyterian 
Church of Liberty, 138 N. Main, Liberty, MO 64068. Cremation with private inurnment 
at New Hope Cemetery, Liberty. 

 Mr. Howard was born August 29, 1913, in Custer County, NE, to Charles E. and Alma 
(Hauck) Howard. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Doane College, Crete, 
NE, in 1938. Mr. Howard taught high school and coached football in western 
Nebraska. He was an agent and manager for Monarch Life Insurance Company. He 
was a former member of Liberty City Council. He was an elder and officer of First 
Presbyterian Church of Liberty. He was past governor of 10th District of Optimist 
International. Mr. Howard was a member of Masonic Lodge 546. He was a also a 
member of York Rite and Moila Shrine Temple of St. Joseph, MO. He was preceded in 
death by his wife, Doris Howard, in 1996. Survivors include four children, Roger W. 
Howard and his wife, Laura, Madison, WI, C. Hugh Howard and his wife, Gail, 
Ijamsville, MD, Judith Robinette and her husband, Ronald, Kansas City, MO, and M. 
Charles Howard and his wife, Diane, Wauwautosa, WI; seven grandchildren, Andrew 
Howard, Elisabeth Howard, Robert Howard, Charles Howard, Adrienne Howard,
