Edward Clark Winslow, B.D. 1880. Born August 24, 1845, in Sunderland, MA. Died 
December 28, 1929, in Brookline, MA. Father, William Bainbndge Winslow; son of 
Luther and Mary (Hitchcock) Winslow, of Sunderland. Mother, Mary Lovina (Clark) 
Winslow; daughter of Eliphalet and Flavilla (Graves) Clark, of Sunderland.

Hitchcock Free High School, Bnmfield, MA, and Williston Academy; B A. Amherst 1870 
(elected to Phi Beta Kappa; speaker at Commencement; treasurer of his Class 
Sophomore year and secretary Senior year; member Psi Upsilon); principal of Amherst 
(MA) High School 1870-72; founder of the Morgan School, Clinton, CT, 1872 and its 
preceptor until 1878; studied in Yale Divinity School 1878- 1880, also serving as 
pastor of the Congregational Church in NortMeld, CT, 1878-79; pastor Taylor 
Congregational Church, New Haven, 1880-81; ordained to Congregational ministry 
November 2,1881, at Galesburg, MI, where pastor until 1883; pastor Westminster 
Presbyterian Church, Big Rapids, MI, 1883-85; Williams professor of the Latin 
language and literature at Wabash College 1885-1891; pastor Central Congregational 
Church, Attleboro Falls, MA, 1891-93, Congregational Church, Westminster, MA, 1894
-95; in 1893 founded the Mount Doma School for Girls in Amherst, MA, and served as 
its head until 1898; appointed missionary agent of New England Home for Little 
Wanderers in Boston and served as a visitor and social worker for a year and a half; 
had been publicity agent, social worker, and chaplain of the Home since 1898; 
member Mount Vernon Congregational Church, Boston, at death.

Married August 23,1871, in Augusta, MI, Sarah Arabelle, daughter of William Chandler 
and Elizabeth (Brown) Sabin. One daughter, Ruby Belle (Mrs. Albert William Finard). 
Mrs. Winslow died October 28,1917. His daughter survives him.

Death due to rheumatic heart disease. Buried in Riverside Cemetery, Sunderland, MA.
