 The funeral service for Lucy B. Fries, 91, of formerly of Glenview, will be 10 a.m. 
Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Cary-Grove Evangelical Free Church, 525 Ada, Cary, with the 
Rev. Donald Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation will 
be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver 
Lake Road, Cary. Born July 18, 1916, in Stillman Valley, Ill., the daughter of Charles 
and Lucy (Woodcock) Brown, she died Jan. 25, 2008, at Northern Illinois Medical 
Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond F. 
Fries. Lucy is survived by her children, Patricia A. Gunnell of Cary; James R. (Diana) 
Fries of Glen Ellyn and Sally F. (Thomas) Lorenzen of Cary; grandchildren, Juliet 
(Chris) Lucchese, Francine (Ben) Morof, Jonathan Lorenzen and Andrew Lorenzen; 
great-grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Megan and Molly Lucchese, and David and Henry 
Morof; and a brother, John F. (Vivian) Brown. For information, 847-639-3817.
