1981 book:
	Eleanore was educated at Westtown Friends School, and was a Phi Beta 
Kappa graduate of Mount Holyoke College.
	Eleanore was very interested in history and historical research.  She became 
an authority on artist Edward Hicks and his work.  She wrote "Edward Hicks: Primitive 
Quaker" and gave numerous lectures.
	Eleanore played a role in the design of the William Penn diorama at the 
Fourth Street Friends Meeting, Phila., Pa.  She was vice-president of the Friends 
Historical Society, member and director of the National Society of Colonial Dames of 
America, and active in the Welcome Society.  She wrote "Anna Brinton: A Study in 
Quaker Character" and co-authored "History of Rose Valley".
	Eleanore was editor of Pendle Hill Publications.  She was active in Historic 
Delaware County, Inc., and in that organization's efforts to preserve and restore the 
best of the county's historic sites.
In 1981, Eleanore and Robert lived at Box 62, 475 Bancroft Road, Moylan, Pa. 19065.
Eleanore was buried on June 29, 1985, following a memorial service at Providence 
Friends Meeting, Media, Pa.
