 WILLISTON, N.D. - Sidney Engmann, 88, a longtime resident of Williston, passed 
away Sunday, July 24, 2005, at the Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston. 

 No services are planned, and cremation has taken place. 

 Sidney Engmann was born on Nov. 10, 1916, to Sigward and Frances (Tessar) 
Engmann in Chicago, Ill. His father, Sigward, died in the flu epidemic. His mother later 
married Frank Schneider of Ray, where Sidney was raised and educated, graduating 
from Ray High School. 

 Sidney married Joan Huntington on Aug. 19, 1939, in Williston. He served in the Army 
during World War II. 

 After working various jobs he became a longtime employee with Conlin's Furniture as 
a salesman. 

 Sidney is survived by his wife, Joan; four sons, Scott, Doug, Gary and Allen 
Engmann; two daughters, Sydney Schuster and Nancy Mahlen; and many wonderful 
grandchildren. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather; and his only sister, Eleanor 
Dalby. 

 The family desires memorials to be given to the charity of one's choice or the Bethel 
Lutheran Home of Williston. 
 The Everson Funeral Home of Williston is assisting the family.
