Merle A. Masteller, 61, of 4422 N. 11th St., died Thursday. He was born in Butte, 
N.D., and had lived in Tacoma for the last 33 years. He was a welder and machinist at 
the Port of Tacoma. He was a member of Epworth-LeSourd United Methodist Church, 
and the Machinists and Longshoremans unions. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a 
daughter, Mrs. Agnes Hershberg, and a son Frank, both of Tacoma; his mother, Mrs. 
Grace Howe of Wolf Creek, Mont., and Mrs. Feral Anderson of Washburn, N.D., and 
one grandchild. Services are under the direction of Mountain View Funeral Home.
