A retired radio broadcaster and publisher, Gordon Francis Otos, 67, died of cancer 
Friday, March 1, 1996. 

 Mr. Otos, born Nov. 27, 1928, in Hettinger, N.D., also sang professionally. In 1952, 
he won first place in the worldwide Army singing contest. A life member of Elks Lodge 
2524, he was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the American Legion. 

 Survivors include his wife, Betty, at home; three sons, David and Clifford, both of 
Vancouver, and Randy of Craig, Alaska; a daughter, Debora Anderson of Chehalis; 
four brothers, Thomas of Ridgefield, Larry of Carlsbad, Calif., William of West Linn, 
Ore., Martell of The Dalles, Ore.; and seven grandchildren. 

 A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Brush 
Prairie.

WA 98668 or to Bethel Lutheran Church, 12919 N.E. 159th St., Brush Prairie, WA 
98606.
