Jewell Jones, 83, Twin Valley, formerly moorhead, died Sunday, April 26, 1998, in 
Lutheran Memorial Home, Twin Valley.

Jewell May Ydstie was born Jan. 22, 1915, in Comstock, Minn. She grew up and 
attended school in Moorhead, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1932. She 
graduated from Moorhead State University in 1936. On April 4, 1936, she married 
Vance Jones. He died in 1945.

She lived in various communities including Duluth, Minn., Bismarck, N.D., Green Bay, 
Wis., Seattle, Minneapolis and Richland, Wash. While in Green Bay, she worked in 
the office of the Green Bay Packers and she worked for Jones-Laughlin Steel Co., 
Minneapolis and Seattle.

She is survived by a brother, Richard, Portland, Ore.

Visitation: Thursday from 1 to 2 in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Funeral: Thursday at 2 in the funeral home.

Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
