Laura was an executive secretary and sales representative with Lukenweld, Inc. She 
was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coatesville, the Old Faithful Sunday 
School of that church, and was secretary of the Caln Civic Club.
	In 1981, Robert lived at 1326 Walnut St., Coatesville, Pa. 19320.

HEADLINE: Robert H. Maule, 85, Lukens engineer

Robert H. "Bob" Maule, 85, of Coatesville, died of natural causes Tuesday at home.

Maule was a planning engineer for the former Lukens Steel Co., Coatesville. He retired 
in 1978 after 44 years.

He was a member of the original Caln Township Planning Board and had served on the 
township zoning board.

Maule was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and 
evangelism team member; and a former member of Coatesville Presbyterian Church, 
where he was ruling elder, deacon, junior high youth adviser, Sunday school teacher 
and evangelism visitation team member.

He was an assistant scoutmaster for Troop 70, Thorndale, and was a member of the 
Boy Scout Order of the Arrow.

A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific as an airman attached 
to the flagship of Fleet Airwing One.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Brandywine Post 845, American Legion 
Wawassan Post 422, Disabled American Veterans, Eastern Paralyzed Veterans 
Association, Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers and Lukens Veterans Guild.

Maule was a model airplane enthusiast and model railroad builder and operator.

Born in Highland Township, he was the son of the late Edwin B. and Eleanor Taylor 
Maule.

His wife, Laura Davis Maule, died in 1978.

Surviving are two sons, David B., married to Lynn Maule of Mechanicsburg, and Kevin 
L., married to Kathy Maule of Columbia; and four grandchildren.
