Doris L. Gann 


Surrounded by her family, Doris L. Donaldson Gann, age 73, of Alliance, passed away 
Nov. 29 after a brave battle against cancer. Born near Durango, Colo., Feb. 19, 1930, 
Mrs. Gann spent most of her life in Texas and the Louisville-Alliance, Ohio area. 
Survived by her loving husband, W. Ira, of 55 years; her three sons, Bill, Ed and Rob; 
two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren and their families. Enjoying sewing, artwork, 
gardening and homemaking, Mrs. Gann most loved taking care of her husband and 
children. Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1910 Monter Ave. in 
Louisville today, Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, from 4-5:30 p.m. with services following 
immediately. The Rev. Ken Pugh will officiate. Mrs. Ganns earthly remains will be 
interred in the Kilgore (Texas) City Cemetery next to her devoted mother, Mrs. Sadie B. 
McClanahan. Her soul has already gone to be with the Lord. The Gann family requests 
that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red
