Bruce Bernard Quayle Sr., of St. Louis, Mo., died Jan. 15, 2008. He was 89. 

 Mr. Quayle was a manager. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. 
He was born in Patoka, Ill. 

 Mr. Quayle was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (LaVar) Quayle. 

 He is survived by his children, Bruce B. (Linda) Quayle Jr., James (Jane) Quayle and 
Beverly "Penny" (John) Dauernhelm; stepchildren, Patrick Heavey, James Heavey and 
Mary (Gordon) Blumenfeld; sister, Harriet Shively and Carmen Combs; grandchildren; 
great-grandchildren; and other relatives. 

 He was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Michael (Clara) Heavey, Deborah 
(Robert) Fanning and Nancy Miller. 

 The funeral and interment were private. 
 Arrangements were made by Kutis Funeral Home Inc. 
 Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
