Margaret O. Lawrence, 93, of Tel Hai Nursing Center, Honey Brook, formerly of 
Narvon, died at Tel Hai Sunday after a brief illness. 

She was married to Robert F. Lawrence, who died in 1987. 

Born in Cains, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Rebecca Skiles Oberholser. 

She graduated from the former Salisbury Township Central High School and earned a 
degree in secondary education in 1923 from the former Millersville State Teachers 
College. 

She graduated in 1930 with a bachelor's degree from Albright College, in 1935 from 
the Pennsylvania State University graduate work education program and in 1955 from 
the American Institute of Banking and Accounting. 

She began teaching in 1926 in West Telford and taught at Ellis College for girls. 

From 1947 to 1953, Mrs. Lawrence was an order clerk, account analyst and registered 
representative for Hecker & Co. and H.A. Riecke & Co., both of Philadelphia. 

From 1953 to 1958, she was a security analyst in the trust department of Philadelphia 
National Bank, and from 1958 to 1973, she was an assistant to H. Stuart Valentine Jr., 
head of the research department at Yarnall, Biddle & Co. in Philadelphia. 

Surviving is a brother, Levi K. Oberholser of Cains. Page: B-3
