Kastler, Sheridan Joseph           
Sheridan Joseph Kastler "Kas" Gone Trailering! Sheridan "Kas" Kastler, age 63,
passed away in Salt Lake City on Aug. 24, 2005, from complications due to
diabetes. He was born in Salt Lake on April 10, 1942 to Joseph Charles and
Cleo Dastrup Kastler. He resided most of his life in Salt Lake where he
attended Olympus High and University of Utah and currently lived in Yuma,
Arizona. He enjoyed 12 years of retirement from the Federal Reserve Bank. He
will be remembered for his joy of trailering, square dancing, detailing cars,
many construction and landscaping projects. Kas had a talent for turning an
ordinary story into a fascinating one. Kas served in the military in Germany
and recently visited there with his daughter. Kas is survived by his daughter,
Kari; granddaughter, Shakira of Salt Lake; father, Joe of Yuma; sister,
Katherine Ball of Phoenix; sister-in-law, Maysie Swensen of Fruit Heights;
many nieces and nephews, and his former wife and friend, Myrna of Salt Lake.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Gary. Kas elected not
to have a funeral, but his life was celebrated on Sunday, August 28th at his
former Salt Lake home with his friends and family. He will be interred in
private services at Memorial Estates on Redwood Road. Messages may be sent to
