Dwight Adams Walker, 84, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Monday morning, 
November 30, 2009. Dwight was retired from Toledo Scale Company with 43 years 
service. He loved to read books, work crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching and 
listening to sporting events. Dwight was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen 
Jane Thomas Walker; and his daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Walker Coffey. He survived 
by his devoted and loving wife of 30 years, Aliene Elliott Walker; his children, Patricia 
(Pat) Walker Dean and husband, Derrick, of Huntsville, Ala., Donnie Elliott and wife, 
Anne W., of Roanoke, Va., and F. David Elliott and wife, Beth M., of Roanoke, Va.; 
his grandchildren, Carrie Glascock, Brian Elliott, Brent Coffey, Lindsay and Paige 
Elliott, and Stephen Dean; his great-grandchildren, Becca and Daniel Glascock; his 
sister, Lois Doloresco, of Stow, Ohio; his brother, Walter Walker, of St.Clair Shores, 
Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at noon on 
Friday, December 4, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. John W. McCandish 
officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the 
family suggests donations to St. Marks Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer's Foundation or 
the American Cancer Society in his memory. The family will receive friends on 
Thursday, December 3, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-
3131.
