ORLA N. MORPHET "Farewell to a sailor" - It is with great sadness, the family 
announces the p assing of Orla, on Friday, June 15, 2001, in his 74th year. Beloved 
husband of the late June (1991). Cherished father of Heather (Dan) Mazzei and 
Charlotte, all of St. Catharines. Son of Isabel Morphet, of Little Current, Manitoulin 
Island, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friend to many. Orla had been 
recognized as a Merchant Marine. He spent 40 years with N.M . Patterson & Sons, 
retiring as Chief Engineer. He enjoyed his retirement aboard the M.V. Garden City. A 
member of St. Andrew's Lodge No. 661, A.F & A.M., and a member of Elm Street 
United Church, St. Catharines. The family received friends at the Hulse & English 
Funeral Home and Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, on Monday from 2-4 and 
7-9 p.m. Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at 1 p.m. 
Interment followed at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines.
