Hello Jim, 

Thank you for your note. It's always nice to hear from distant relatives. :) You are 
correct, I am Jim Pearse's granddaughter. My grandfather was born in Texas and lived 
there until he was about 20 years old. During WWII, he was stationed in Bakersfield, 
CA, which is where he met my grandmother, Zoe Simos. After the war, they settled in 
Bakersfield, which is where they lived until he passed away in 1987. I grew up there, 
as well. Unfortunately, I do not have much information about my grandfather's family. 
That's the non-Greek side of my family, so there is still a lot that I need to learn. I look 
forward to learning more about your family and tree and seeing how they're connected!
