Stuart--Lewis B. Lewis, 73, who formerly was in the transfer business, died Sunday in 
a McAlester Hospital following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 23, 1904 in El 
Paso, Texas, but had lived in this area much of his life. He was married to the former 
Katherine Somerville. Lewis was a past worshipful master of the Stuart Masonic 
Lodge. He also was i the Scottish Rite Masonic consistory at McAlester. He served as 
patron of the Stuart Order of Eastern Star and was active in the membership of the 
Stuart United Methodist Church. Survivors include the wife and several nieces, 
nephews and other relatives. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the 
Stuart United Methodist Church. Rev. Roy Welton will officiate. Interment will follow in 
the White Chimney Cemetery. Members of the Masonic Lodge will served as 
pallbearers.
