Private services will be held for William B. Basile, 76, retired president and chairman 
of the board of Richardson Co., a Des Plaines chemical firm. He died Wednesday in 
his Glencoe home. He practiced law from 1934 to 1943, when he joined Richardson as 
vice president of industrial relations. He was named president in 1953. He is survived 
by a daughter, Bette Kattmann; two sons, William B. Jr. and Ralph; four grandchildren;
