Vivian Woolley Dills, 83, passed away Sept. 22, 2010, in Blackfoot.
Vivian was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Denver, Colo., the only child of Adrian Rumel
Woolley and Vivian Genette Sperry.
Her family moved to Pocatello where Adrian owned and operated Mountain Electric
for many years.
Vivian attended public schools and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1945.
After graduation she attended Woodbury College in Los Angeles, majoring in Fashion
Merchandising. She returned to Pocatello and married Paul Dills, her high school
sweetheart in 1947.
Paul's varied career moved the family often, but at every step along the way Vivian
was involved with their two daughters and their activities.
She was very active in Girl Scouts, Job's Daughters, church and many community
organizations.
In 1960 they purchased property in Aberdeen and began building a new home.
For the next 12 years she worked side by side with Paul managing and working the
farm. In 1972 Paul returned to work in his management and construction career and,
with her daughters both in college, Vivian had the opportunity to continue her career
in merchandising, and also to become a Certified Gemologist.
For 25 years she enjoyed her career experiences, friends, entertaining and travel.
She and Paul retired to Nampa in 1995.
Vivian is survived by her two daughters Colette Dills Sparks and Janel Dills, and three
grandchildren, Jana Sparks, Rylan Sparks and Kali Sparks.
Paul, her husband of 61 years, her parents and a grandchild, Tyler Dills Gearhart,
preceded her in death.
At Vivian's request no funeral services will be held.
Her family wishes to thank the many friends and neighbors that have been an integral
part of Vivian's life, theirs as well. They invite each to share your memories and
