Gloria Rumel passed peacefully at home the morning of Sunday, April 19, 2015. She 
was born March 19, 1936 in Salt Lake City to Wayne and Miriam Cromar, the second 
of nine children. She is a descendant of pioneers who arrived with Brigham Young to 
Utah in 1847.

 Gloria attended area schools and was of the first graduating class of Olympus High 
School. She met the love of her life through a school friend.

 Gloria Cromar and Ronald Rumel wed May 4, 1957. They had four children and made 
their home in Salt Lake City, Holladay, Sandy and South Jordan.

 Gloria's strongest attribute was her generous self sacrificing nature and forgiving 
spirit complimented by her warm open heart and beautiful smile.

 All who knew her felt her genuine affection and were witness to her example of pure 
love, faithful service to church, and her devotion and commitment to family. She was 
our protector and defender - never ceasing to reach for us to come near to her.

 Mother has missed our father Ron for nine years; they are together again and will be 
glorified through the LDS Temple marriage that solidifies their covenants. We are 
grateful that they stayed the course and never wavered.

 Gloria obtained a personal manifestation of the divinity of our savior Jesus Christ and 
his message of forgiveness and healing love. Her wish is for all of us to seek for our 
own testimony and embrace a life that gives love freely without exception.

 We love you, Mother. We thank you for tenderly caring for us and lighting our way 
home. 

 All are welcome to share in our love for our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, 
sister, aunt, cousin and friend on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-
Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, Utah, 
with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service. Interment at Wastach Lawn 
Memorial Park.
