John Alonzo Bertram, age 80, entered into rest April 4, 2008. He was born in Phoenix, 
AZ on October 14, 1927, the son of Pearl Mitchell and Paul Bertram. He was a 
hardworking, honest outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. 
He served our country in WW2 aboard Navy Destroyer USS Wren 568. He'll be 
remembered as a great story teller, a devoted family man, a proud member of BPOE 
America Local Union No. 408. John Alonzo Bertram leaves behind in loving memory his 
wife of 36 years, Ladelle Bertram, Miami, AZ; daughters Cynthia (Charlie) Bennett, 
Phoenix, AZ, Nancy Bertram, Phoenix, AZ, Janell (Bud) Rhodes, Miami, AZ and 
Lynette (Bill) Bellinger, Jacksonville, FL; son Steve (Sue) Bertram, Peoria, AZ; 6 
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday, April 10, 2008, 9:00 
AM - 10:00 AM, Miles Funeral Services Miami, 309 Live Oak Street, Miami, AZ; 
Funeral is Thursday, April 10, 2008, 10:30AM at Miles Funeral Services Miami; 
Interment is Friday, April 11, 2008, 1:00 PM, Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 
W. Van Buren Street, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Memorial contributions in John's name are

SO: who is Ladelle? Second wife? Divorce? Who is mother of the children? 
Though she died in 2010, cannot find obit for Billie Pauline. I suspect divorce, 
remarriage for both.
