BRUCETON - Martin L. Batte, 67, retired owner and manager of Fashions & Fabrics, 
died of cancer Saturday at Life Care Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at 
Bruceton Funeral Home with burial in Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. He was a 
member of Bruceton First United Methodist Church, Bruceton Masonic Lodge 731, 
Memphis Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shrine, Carroll County Equalization Board and a 
former member of Bruceton Lions Club. Mr. Batte, the husband of Angela H. Batte, 
also leaves two sons, Marty Batte and Bryan Batte, both of Bruceton; his mother, 
Eddie H. Batte of Denton, Texas; a brother, Charles R. Batte of Waco, Texas, and
