Sterling K. Hight Born January 6, 1921 in Palo Alto, he passed away in Milwaukee on 
August 11, 2008, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Laatsch 
Mitzenheim). Proud father of Carl (Sharon), Timothy (Amy) and Cameron (David) 
Ferguson and Step-children Lorelle (Robert) Radder, Robert and Gerald Mitzenheim 
(Linda Blaser). Loving grandfather of Andrew (Rebekah Hamilton), Stephen, Erika 
Hight and Beverly Jean Mitzenheim (Leslie Dowling), and adoring great grandfather of 
Alana and Mackenzie Hight. Sterling served in the Army Air Corps and USAF for 32 
years as a pilot and as an aeronautical Engineer, retiring in 1974 as a Lt. Col. He 
served in WWII, flying "the Hump" from India to China, and also flew cargo missions 
during the war in Vietnam. Sterling graduated from Stanford with BS and MS degrees 
in mechanical and aeronautical engineering. The family extends a special thanks to 
the doctors and staff at Aurora St. Lukes and VA Medical Centers in Milwaukee for 
their excellent care. A Memorial service will be held at Darling Fischer Chapel of the 
Hills, 615 N Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos, on Sunday, August 24th, at 1:30 PM. "Rest 
Now Dad, We Love You"
