Appears in 1869 as Robert S Harrold (is this him? Is it the Robert Sears Harrold I 
notice in historical nwspprs on genbank?) at the 501 E Leigh address, as clerk, same 
addr as John Harrold who is in house furnishing, with same addr as in 1889-90
again in 1873. That year Mrs Sarah Harrold is at 515 W Leigh
again in 1891, none after that but is that b/c directory ends? No
a John Harrold, lab appears in 1891, is there in 1892 but no Robert
There is a Robert Harrold in the 1900 NY census, married to a Lizzie Tighe. His obit is 
in the 22 Mar 1928 Brooklyn Daily Eagle. Died 21 Mar 1928 Born in Richmond, Va., 
came to NY 43 yrs earlier (1885? 1886 after Sarah died?) Was secy of Diocesan 
House for 30 years. On arrival in NY, connected with the Ovington Store but then 
became interested in the Episcopal Church. Member of the Church Club. Wife's father 
was rector of St Michael PE Church. Survived also by son Robert T. Harrold, office 
mgr of the Eagle, dtr Vivian Howard of Hartford Conn, Miss Gladys S Harrold and Mrs. 
Ellen Fenn of Brooklyn, two grandchildren, Mrs. Agnes Holler and Browley Fenn, two 
great grandchildren Richard Holler and Elaine Howard. Funeral services at PE Church 
of the Reddemer 23 Mar 1928 burial Evergreen Cemetery. Also served over 30 mission 
churches. While in Va, served as Capt of Va Militia and succeeded her father in the 
cut glass and china business
3 Feb 1887 issue of The Daily Times on virginiachronicle.com reports that the 
Brooklyn Eagle says "Mr Robert Harrold of Richmond, Va., son-in-law of Rev. R. H. L. 
Tighe, of Grace Chapel, has recovered from a very severe and dangerous illness, and 
will remain in this city until he is thoroughly well and able to travel."
On the 1900 census, he is in Brooklyn as Robert T, b Va, parents b Ireland, Lizzie was 
b Feb 1860 in Va, father b Ireland mother b Ireland. mother in law Lizzie M Tighe. 
Children Gladys b Aug 1888 in Va, Robert T. b Apr 1894 in Va., Vivian b Apr 1894 in 
NY. So these three children are his by second wife
