Leonard Sabia III 

 Leonard Sabia III passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 6, 
2012 from complications due to brain cancer. Lenny is survived by his wife, Amy, two 
daughters, Molly and Nora, and nephew, Evan. He will also be remembered by his 
mother, Elizabeth Lioi, father, Leonard Sabia Jr, two brothers, Robert (Susan) and 
John (Johanne), and sister, Denise, as well as the many other family and friends he 
had. 

 At age 51, Lenny passed too soon, still fully in charge of living life. He traveled to 49 
states, four continents and made lifelong friends wherever he went. Lenny was born in 
Regensburg, Germany on October 4, 1960 and graduated high school in Norwalk, 
Connecticut in 1978 and attended junior college in Northern California. He finally 
settled in Kent, WA after his marriage to Amy in 1990, quickly followed by the births of 
Molly and Nora. 

 Lenny was one of those rare people that made you feel like it was never about him, 
but always about you. He was a full on man but soft and very considerate at the same 
time. In addition to family, Lenny loved traveling, sports (49er fan) and really good 
food. He will be remembered most for his great pancakes, his ability to come up with 
one liners, his kindness and generosity to all, and absolutely his humor. 

 His family will be holding a memorial on Friday, August 17th at 11:00 am at St. 
Stephen's the Martyr in Renton. Memorial donations to Ben and Catherine Ivy 
Foundation for brain cancer research at Swedish Medical Center. Notorious L-E-N, you 
were truly "fly like a cheese stick"
