YORKTOWN — William Henry Meranda Sr., 70, of Yorktown, embraced Jesus and his 
beloved wife, Sandi, on July 2, 2012, at Saint John's Medical Center, Anderson. 

William was born July 31, 1941, in Delaware County, to his parents, William and Clara 
Mable (Maul) Meranda. He was a graduate of Muncie Central High School, class of 
1959. He retired from Chevrolet Muncie in 1993, working there 30 years. He was a 
veteran of the United States Army. He loved all sports, although he was an avid 
baseball and Colts fan. 

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Meranda, Summitville, and William H. Meranda 
Jr., Parker City; two daughters, Toya (husband, Mark) Ash, Alexandria and Kim 
(husband, Andy) Kreps, Yorktown; one sister, Barbara Hinds, Muncie; 17 
grandchildren, Timmy, Ambrosia, Cassandra, Kelly, Brandon, Tawni, Owen, Krystal 
Kreps, Bobby, Zachary, T.J., A.J. Kreps, Katie, Marky, Mason, Clay and William H. 
Meranda III "Little Willie"; and 13 great-great grandchildren. 

William was preceded in death by his wife, Sandi Meranda, of 41 years; and sister and 
brother-in-law, Alden and Delores Bush. 

A celebration-oflife service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gant Funeral Home, Yorktown 
chapel, with Pastor Rodney Eiler officiating. Burial and military honors will follow in the 
Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Daleville by the veterans of Delaware County. 

Visitation one hour prior to services on Friday. 

Memorials may be made to the Full Gospel Temple Church, 212 W. Seventh St., 
Muncie, IN 47334.
