COLBY RYAN STAMPS, 34, a resident of Dallas died Thursday, December 17, 2009. 
He was born on August 28, 1975 in Dallas the son of James Raymond and Terry Jean 
LaGourgue Stamps Jr. He graduated from Dallas High School in 1993 and was 
involved in all sports. Colby was an assistant coach for the high school football team 
for a number of years. He attended College of the Siskiyous in Weed, California where 
he played football for a season. He worked for Specialty Polymers Company in 
Woodburn where he worked as a supervisor and a salesman. Colby was an avid golfer 
and was a member of the Spring Hill Golf Club in Albany. He loved anything outdoors 
including hunting and fishing. 


He is survived by his mother Terry and step father Everett Reed of Monmouth and 
brother Shane of Dallas along with Uncles and Aunts Frank & Rosa LaGourgue, Carol 
& Dick Wyscaver, Gwen & Michael Purdy, Butch & Valerie Stamps, Kaye with Rick 
Koloen, Nancy & Dave Mooney, Russ Stamps and Jeff Stamps along with to many 
cousins to count and second cousins too. He was preceded in death by his father Jim 
in 1987. 


Viewing will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 21st in the Dallas 
Mortuary Tribute Center. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 
22nd in the Valley Life Center in Dallas. A reception will follow the service at Orchard 
Heights Winery. Private interment will be in the Dallas Cemetery. Memorials are 
suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary at 287 SW 
Washington St. Dallas, Oregon 97338.
