Mark Charles Yeend 
(September 19, 1961 - July 22, 2012)  

Mark Charles Yeend passed away in Walla Walla, WA at St. Mary's Hospital on 
Sunday, July 22, 2012. 

He was born on September 19, 1961 in Spokane, WA to the loving arms of Darrell and 
Arliss Yeend. He graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1980. He worked as a 
farmer on the Yeend farms for 19 years. Mark also worked as a reserve for the Walla 
Walla Country Sheriff’s Department for about 4 years. 

Mark loved anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting with his good friend 
Brett Weaver. Mark also enjoyed riding dirt bikes and going skiing up in the mountains 
with his oldest daughter, Amanda. He liked teaching his youngest daughter, Kacci, 
new things especially when it came to her new Mustang. He liked to go fishing with 
his father-in-law, Larry Schilling and brother-in-law, Brian Schilling as well as his 
daughters. 

His recent prized possession was his new Harley Davidson Motorcycle and going for 
rides with his wife, Karla, as well as his good friends Rich and Val Cole. His favorite 
vacation spot has always been to the Oregon Coast with his wife and two children and 
even when he was younger with his mom and dad, Darrell and Arliss. 

Mark is survived by his wife, Karla and two daughters, Amanda and Kacci; his mom 
and dad, Darrell and Arliss Yeend; and his biological mother, Bernice Rinell; sisters, 
Theresa Baker, Debbie Wenger & Dee Dee Peterson; brother, Brian Kolski and several 
nieces & nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Addie 
Cain, Charles & Dora Yeend; his biological father, Jack Rinell; brother, Rick Dykes; 
sister-in-law, Lori Schilling; father-in-law, Lawrence Schilling & a brother-in-law, Brian 
Schilling. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 28, 2012, at 11a.m. at Herring 
Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla. There will be a potluck 
celebration of Mark's life immediately following the service at The Eagles Club, 350 S 
2nd Ave, Walla Walla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mark Charles Yeend 
Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
