Betty Hamilton Beitler of West Chester Betty Hamilton Beitler, 90, a resident of West 
Chester, passed away at Chester County Hospital the morning of December 16, 2011. 
She was the wife of Luman M. Beitler, who passed away in 1995, and with whom she 
shared 57 years of marriage. Born May 25, 1921 in West Grove, she was the daughter 
of the late Benjamin M. and Pauline Brown Hamilton. She loved painting and nature 
and was an avid reader, who loved doing word puzzles. She was a devoted pet lover. 
She a had green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her plants, and she enjoyed 
swimming in the pool. She loved her house in West Chester, where she resided from 
1964 until 2010. Earlier in life she was a beautician and briefly owned a yarn shop in 
West Chester. She is survived by her daughter, Cherie Beitler Hibbs of Arlington, 
Texas, her son Joseph L. Beitler, Sr. of West Grove, her grandson, Tracy Budd of 
Falls Church, Va., (whom she and her husband raised), grandson, Joseph L. Beitler, Jr. 
and his wife Kristi of Lincoln University, (with whom she spent the last year of her life), 
granddaughters, Kristin Beitler of West Grove and Stephanie Posadas of West Grove, 
and their families. You are invited to visit with her family and friends from 6 to 8 on 
Thursday evening, December 22, and again from 9 to 10 on Friday morning, December 
23, at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Avenue, West Grove, (Phone: 
610-869-2685). Her funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Faggs Manor
