James Bateman Riggs IV
 
James Bateman Riggs IV of Lambertville N.J. passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2014.

Born Jan. 4, 1934, he lived in Bucks County and Cherry Valley, N.Y. before moving to 
Lambertville.

In his early career, Jim was a purchasing agent for Reedman Automotive and later, an 
antique furniture expert, traditional woodworker, and beeswax candle maker. He spent 
many loving years working side by side on restoration projects with his wife, 
Joanmarie. His craftsmanship was recognized nationally and he exhibited his work at a 
number of area shows and events.

Most important to Jim was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanmarie; 
his daughter, Christina Becker and her husband, Peter; his son, Jim Riggs and his 
wife, Laura; his grandchildren, PJ and his wife, Krissy, Josh, Shannon, Wyatt, and 
Julianne; and his great-grandson, Liam James. His family and friends will miss him 
greatly.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
